Primary Accounts Payable Lead Responsibilities: As the Accounts Payable Lead, you will:
• Lead training initiatives for AP Clerks, ensuring team proficiency and cohesion.
• Execute payment voids, manual checks, and ACH transactions as required.
• Conduct regular reviews of the AP subledger to identify aged or irregular items.
• Validate vendor accounts and solicit W-9 forms from new vendors, maintaining up-to-date information for 1099 reporting.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all AP transactions and corrections.
• Address escalated inquiries from suppliers and internal departments regarding payment status and system issues.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager on process enhancements and system upgrades.
• Assist with the year-end 1099 process and weekly AP runs in partnership with the Treasury team.
• Aid in monitoring bill payments and associated expense reporting for vendors paid via credit card.

Basic Requirements for Accounts Payable Lead Applicants: To excel in this role, you'll need:
• An Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Five years of extensive experience in Accounts Payable.
• Advanced proficiency in the full-cycle AP process within a large corporate environment.
• Strong familiarity with Workday or similar large ERP accounting systems.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting demands.
• Mastery of MS Office suite, including Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate effective working relationships.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a knack for simplifying complex financial information.
